Long time resident, salon owner and hairdresser, Wyoda Ellen (Pigg) Compton, 83, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel. Wyoda was born, February 21, 1929, the daughter of Issac and John Ellen (Chapman) Pigg in Garvin, OK. Wyoda married the love of her life, Hartford Compton on June 5, 1948 in DeQueen, AR. Wyoda loved the Lord and her church, First Assembly of God in Broken Bow, where she was a lifetime member. She was a "prayer warrior" and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She loved holidays with her children and grandchildren. Wyoda is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Harlon and Judy Compton of Oklahoma City, OK, Steve and Mary Compton, Bob and Jacque Compton, Rudd and Pat Compton all of Oak Hill, and Chuck and Carol Compton of Broken Bow; one brother Jack and Barbara Day of Minco, OK; one sister, Vernice Loving of Chickasha, OK; eighteen grandchildren, Aaron, Crystal, Edwin, Rhonda, Tiffany, Brittany, Amy, Stephanie, Angela, Nancy, Sarah, Miranda, Matthew, Mark, Eric, Courtney, Cayla and Callie; fifty great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, two special friends, Joan and Johnny Caldwell and a host of other relatives and friends. Wyoda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Issac Lee and John Ellen (Chapman) Pigg, husband, Hartford D.
