Williston Lee Wesley, Jr., 67, of Wright City, passed away August 12, 2017 at Memorial Heights Nursing Home, Idabel, OK. Williston was born July 12, 1950 in Talihina, OK, to Williston Lee Wesley, Sr., and Deliah Carteby. Williston was a member of the Tohwali Methodist Church and loved to fish, hunt, coach summer baseball, and visiting with his friends. He started working for Dierks November 27, 1967 and retired in 2007. Williston loved his family, going to rodeos, and at a young age rode bulls and horses. Williston married Virginia Taylor at the Tohwali Methodist Church in the Oak Hill Community on March 3, 1984, spending 33 years together. Williston was preceded in death by his mother; daughter, Cheri Wallace; and nephew Billy Joe Davis. Williston leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Virginia Wesley, of the home; father, Williston Lee Wesley, Sr., of Wright City, OK; son, Christopher Wallace, of Wright City; brothers, Benny Jo Wesley, and wife, Lisa, of Smithville, OK, Jimmy Wesley, Sr., and wife, Debbie, of Wright City, Howard Wesley, of Wright City, and Bobby Wesley, and friend, Theresa, of Wright City, OK; sisters, Geraldine Wright, of Durant, OK, Charlene Columbus, and husband, Johnny, of Idabel, Janelle Wesley, and husband, Frank Tohnika, of Broken Bow, Jolene Davis, and husband, Greendale, of Broken Bow, and Edith Jones, and husband, Danny Jones, Sr., of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Melissa Williams, Daniel Birkenfeld, Heather Birkenfeld, and Caylyn and Christian Wallace; great-grandchildren, Heaven and Nevaeh Williams; nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives; his friends at the Memorial Heights Nursing Home and a many other friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, August 18, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, with Rev. Tommy Wesley and Rev. Greg Willie officiating. Pallbearers will include Benny Wesley, Jimmy Wesley, Howard Wesley, Bobby Wesley, Lester Noah, Jr., and Daniel Birkenfeld. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Parks, Jimmy Wesley, Jr., and Christopher Wallace. Burial will follow at Slater Memorial Cemetery, Wright City, OK. A Wake Service will be Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
