Wilburn Barnett Harrison Sr., 80, of Wright City, passed away Friday December 10, 2010. \\r\\n The son of Allen and Effie (Barnett) Harrison, Wilburn was born on August 13, 1930 in Clebit, Oklahoma. Wilburn and Mary (Claborn) were united in marriage on May 29, 1952 in DeQueen, Arkansas. He had lived in this community all of his life and worked for Dierks and Weyerhaeuser as an electrician for over 28 years; later, he formed his own electrical company, Harrison Electric. Wilburn loved his work and was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. One of his favorite fishing spots on Glover River, the Golden Gate Bridge, was so named by him and his brother. Wilburn also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Mystre Shay Harrison; one brother, Earl Harrison and close friend, Robert Shelton. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary, of the home; one son, Wilburn Barnett Harrison Jr. (Robin), of Wright City; Danna Harrison Weathers, of Mustang, OK; one brother, Boyce Harrison and his wife, Charlene, of Wright City; Joyce Shelton and her husband, John, of Rattan, Betty Pinkard, of HollyCreek; seven grandchildren, Sabre, Cody, Erica, Trey, Dekota, Charlie, Candace, Laramie Bell; nine great-grandchildren; multiple nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. \\r\\n Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Assembly of God Church in Wright City with Bro. Randy Watkins officiating.
