Wayne Mooney

On September 15, 1967, Wayne Mooney and Bertha Bunn were united in marriage in Idabel, OK. Wayne lived in this community most of his life and began his career as a Butcher over thirty-five years ago. He had worked for Piggly-Wiggly for thirty years where he retired as a Market Manager. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading Louis L'Amour books. Most of all, Wayne loved his family and the time he shared with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Troy 'Tobe' and Dessie Mae Mooney; one brother, Jim Henry Mooney.Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his wife of forty years, Bertha Mooney, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Bettina Mooney, HollyCreek; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Pat Welton, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Lacey, Jordan, Austin, Cole, and Meagan Mooney, Jessica and Victoria Welton; two sisters, Della Mae Patterson, Washington, Linda Carol Sandidge and husband Sandy, Antlers, OK; special sister-in-law and niece, Christine Mooney and Kim Mooney, Idabel; several other family members and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 7, 2007, at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Idabel, with Bro. Doug Clemmons officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Creek Cemetery, Holly Creek.
