He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Walker Burris; one son, Chuck Burris; his parents, four sisters, and six brothers.A. W. was a lifelong resident of Broken Bow. After his retirement from the Oklahoma State Highway Department he continued to ranch until his health no longer permitted. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Broken Bow.He is survived by two sons, Michael Burris and wife Vanessa and their children Evan and Whitney, of Lawton, and Marquette Burris, of Idabel; two grandsons, DeKarlus Burris and wife Kelli Dawn; DeMykal Burris and wife Angel; one granddaughter, DeAlycia Burris, and four great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Daniel, Carlea, and Kaylea, all of Broken Bow.The family wishes to thank Lou Eddie Burris, Polly Burris, and Betty Jo Burris for their special care of A. W. during his illness.
