He was a member of Kulli Chito Presbyterian Church in Bethel, OK. He enjoyed playing music with the church, watching sports, especially O.U. Sooners Football and he loved to make people laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Eli and Minerva Samuels; one sister, Naomi Ruth Taylor and one brother, Jonathon Samuels.Virgil leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Chris Samuels, Norman, OK, Fabian Samuels, Wewoka, OK and Dion Samuels, Norman, OK; two daughters, Stacey Samuels, Wewoka, OK and Kelly Wade, Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Gavin Samuels, Del City, OK, Leland Samuels, Germany; eight sisters, Olivene Wadley, Norman, OK, Ruby Taylor, Antlers, OK, Lois Samuels, Kansas, OK, Laura Wells, Valliant, OK, Loretta Heuberger, Hugo, OK, Sharon Walker, Bartlesville, OK, Sherlene Samuels, Denton, TX and Leah Samuels, Oklahoma City, OK; one grandchild, Elise Wade; one aunt, Jan Francis; one uncle, Norris Samuels; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2009, Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery, Honobia, OK. Bro.
