Velma Lee Bolt, 98, of Idabel, OK passed away January 24, 2016 in Idabel, OK. She was born August 28, 1917 at Springhill, TX the daughter of William and Minnie Lee (Leathers) Weeks. Velma was a member of the Haworth Missionary Baptist Church. She was the head cook at Haworth School and all of the school kids were her kids, she treated them all like her own. She loved playing golf and enjoyed sewing, she made many clothes for her grandchildren and children on her traditional treadle sewing machine. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids "The Dirty Dozen." Velma leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Paula Baugh and husband, Earl Baugh Jr.; sons-in-law, Calvin Galloway and George Sonny Roberts; grandchildren, Terry Bolt McCloud, John Galloway, Jeffrey Bolt, Jennifer Bolt Mulkey, Sonya Roberts Anderson, Robert Baugh, Jerry Galloway, George "Buzzy" Roberts, Rhonda Baugh Davis, Steve Bolt and Ricky Baugh; twenty one great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Bolt; her ten siblings; three daughters, Virginia, Mary, Eva Jean; one son, Lanny; one grandson, Randy Baugh; one great-grandson, Dusty Galloway. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Jerry Galloway and Bro. Earl Baugh officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK. The family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to the service at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
