Cleve Dickerson and Birtie Lee Thweatt were united in marriage on September 17, 1949 in Paris, TX. Cleve was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Effie Dickerson; and son, Wayne Dickerson.Cleve leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Birtie Dickerson of the home; three sons, Troy Dickerson, Eagletown, OK, Jimmy and Betty Dickerson, Broken Bow, OK, and Rusty and Laura Dickerson, Horatio, AR; four daughters, Becky Hill, DeQueen, AR, Pat and Carl Walls, Broken Bow, OK, Jean and Dwain Vinson, Eagletown, OK, and Vickie Young, Eagletown, OK; two brothers, Aubrey Dickerson, Broken Bow, OK, and Carter Dickerson, Broken Bow, OK; three sisters, Idell Galovich, Eagletown, OK, Ethel Vance, Eagletown, OK, and Dovie Payner, Broken Bow, OK; twenty five grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2006, at Brumley Chapel, Broken Bow. Interment will follow in Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK. Rev. Robert Stewart will officiate.
