Terry Brooks, 64, of Bethel, OK, passed away August 5, 2016, in Mena, AR. Terry was born July 15, 1952, in DeQueen, AR, to Rogers Moten and Nellie Corene (Phillips) Brooks. Terry was affiliated with the Bethel Baptist Missionary Church, in Bethel, OK, and had lived in McCurtain County most of his life. He served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974. Terry thoroughly enjoyed watching and being with his grandbabies. Terry and Carolyn Crawford were united in marriage July 25, 1975, in Broken Bow, OK, spending 41 wonderful years together. Terry is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Brooks. Terry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carolyn, of the home; his parents, Rogers and Nellie Brooks, of Bethel, OK; son, Wesley Brooks, of Bethel, OK; daughters, Sheila Bray, and husband, Clint, of Broken Bow, OK, Amber Johnson, and husband, Jarrett, of Bethel, OK; Kimberly Reece, and husband, Cole, of Broken Bow, OK; and Chantal Keeler, and husband, Scott, of Atoka, OK; sisters, Tommie Donaldson, and husband, Wayne, of Talihina, OK, Mary White, and husband, John, of Redland, OK, and Annetta Huggins, and husband, William, of Hallsville, TX; grandchildren, Kaylee Bray, Kloey Johnson, Cameron Brantley, Jaden Bray, Jocelyn Johnson, Natalie Reece, Weston Brooks, Hannah Keeler, Luke Reece, and Sophia Keeler; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 2:00 PM, at the Bethel Baptist Missionary Church, in Bethel, OK, with Pastor Clint Bray officiating and burial to follow at the Bethel Cemetery.
