Teddy Ward of Broken Bow, OK, passed away December 12, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Teddy was born June 20, 1951 in Talihina, OK, the son of Sarah (Noahubbi) and Nelson Ward. Teddy was a member of McGee Chapel in Broken Bow. He served his country in the United States Army. He loved his family, enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews play sports. In his younger days he enjoyed being a fast pitch softball player and playing tournaments. He was active in the Choctaw Nation Senior Citizens District 2 and everyone that knew Teddy remembers his entertaining spirit and how he kept everyone laughing. Teddy was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners football fan. Teddy was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Imogene James and Rena Noah; niece, LaJean Thorne; nephews, Arnold James, Marvin James, Richard Driskill and Teddy Navarro; one brother-in-law, Jim Driskill. Teddy leaves to cherish his memory, nieces, Ladonna Ward and son, Tyrin, Sarah Ward and son, Tahj; nephews, Kevin Ward and son, Kendall and Marcal "Ray Ray" Lewis all of Broken Bow; two brothers, Travis Ward of Broken Bow, Alfred Ward of Dallas, TX; one sister, Mavis Driskill of Simsboro, LA; other nieces and nephews, Janice and Bobby Morris, Darrell and Carol James, Rita James, Ronnie and Diane James, LeAnne Noah and Deborah Osage; cousins, Betty Jacob, Juanita Henry, Walter T. Lloyd Wilson, Kay Ward and Katrina Anderson; several other family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held, 2 PM Friday, December 16, 2016 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow. Curtis Billy and Rev. Andy Ward will officiate. Interment will follow at McGee Cemetery in Broken Bow.
