Sylvia Starks, 91, of Idabel, entered her heavenly home on January 12, 2012. The daughter of Elmus Minor and Rosetta (Raynor) Mead, Sylvia was born January 27, 1920 in Sherwin, Kansas. She was a member of the Church of God in Idabel where she was very involved. Sylvia lived her life as a servant of God and was a great example to many. She enjoyed studying the Word and listening to Gospel music. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Rev. Charles Starks; one daughter, Diana Starks; one grandson, Timothy Starks Jr.; four sisters and three brothers. Sylvia leaves to honor God, five children, Charles T. Starks of Bossier City, LA; Rev. Jonathan Starks and his wife, Pam, of Ryder, ND, Rev. Philip Starks and his wife, Wanda, of Wylie, TX, William Starks and his wife, Lou, of Midland, TX, Tammy Hughes and her husband, Bob, of Idabel; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
