Skeet Montgomery Obituary (1941 - 2018)

Skeet Montgomery, 76, of Broken Bow, OK, passed from this life on August 13, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 20, 1941 in Golden, OK, the son of Sel and Virgie (Swift) Montgomery. Skeet and Sandy McCurry were united in marriage on July 25, 1986, in DeQueen, AR. He was of the Baptist Faith. Skeet enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of the NRA. Skeet worked for Weyerhaeuser for over fifteen years and filed saws as a side job. He raised cattle and worked for Cold Iron Logging as well. Skeet always put God first in his life and enjoyed his family and making memories with them. Skeet leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sandy, of the home; his children, Leah Morgan and Henry Coulter, of Iron Stob Community; their children, Shane Morgan, wife, Tiffany, and children Sidney and Skeet, and Brandon Morgan, wife, Mandy, and children, Brody and Emma Grace, all of Wright City; Benny Montgomery and Debbie Jones, of Wright City, OK; their children, Jessie and Amber, and three children; sisters, Martha Carbajal, Veda Routh, and her husband, Roger, all of Golden, OK; brothers, Glen Montgomery, and his wife, Sally, of Wenatchee, WA and Roger Virgin, of Golden, OK; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Daisy Montgomery; and brother, James Montgomery. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Watson Memorial Cemetery in Oak Hill Community with Bro. Mark McGeehee officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
