Shirley Evelyn Smith, 78, of Broken Bow, OK, passed away February 21, 2015, in Broken Bow, OK. She was born February 19, 1937, in Mill Creek, OK, the daughter of Elvey William and Eula Ellen Merryman. Shirley was a member of the Lukfata Baptist Church and she had lived in this area for 58 years after moving from Mill Creek, OK. She loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, baking, playing dominoes, singing, dancing and taking trips to Branson, Missouri. Shirley and Billy Gene Smith were united in marriage on September 24, 1955 in Yuma, Arizona. Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Billy Gene, of the home; daughter, Jada Coffman, of Broken Bow, OK; sisters, Iona Caraway, of Sulphur, OK, Alene Ambrose, of Sulphur, OK, and Lola McKim and husband, Ronnie, of Kingston, OK; three grandchildren, Dallas and David Dollar, Cody Atwood and Sara Atwood, all of Broken Bow, OK; one great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Renai Atwood; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carl and Maxine McGee.
