Shirley Faye Crawford, 70, of Battiest, passed away surrounded by her family May 13, 2018 at her home. Shirley was born November 1, 1947 to Kermit Kenneth and Rosa Lee (Attaberry) Scarberry in Clebit, OK. Shirley was a member of the Mt. Herman Free Holiness Church and had lived in McCurtain County most of her life. She loved to crochet, read, quilting, and crafting. She nearly always had a crafting project that she was working on. Shirley enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family; to Shirley, family was always first. Shirley married the love of her life, Granvil Barry Crawford on August 26, 1966 in Clebit. They enjoyed traveling together every summer. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Rosa Scarberry; infant brother, Glennis Scarberry; siblings, Leon Scarberry, Dorothy Eeds, and Wayne Scarberry; and son-in-law, Tony Hobson. Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Granvil, of the home; daughters, Cheryl Hobson, of Broken Bow, Rose and Marty Fairless, of Battiest, and Katrina and Kenny Bivings, of Paris, TX; brothers, Leonard and Sue Scarberry, of Heavener, and Kenneth and Ann Scarberry, of Yukon, OK; sisters, Sharon and Mike Lott, of Holly Creek, and Wanda McDaniel, of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Cody, Tiffany, Karli, Crystal, Rychie, and Hulan; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; special friends, Diane Lowe, Penny Marley, and Ronnie Scarberry; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Shirley will be missed dearly by her family and all that knew her. A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 2:00PM at the Battiest Auditorium with burial following at Bethel Cemetery.
