Ruby Pearl Snider, 86, of Broken Bow, passed away, Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the DeQueen Regional Hospital, DeQueen, AR. She was born July, 11, 1924 to parents Tollie and Edna (Sumners) Compton. Ruby Compton and Glennon Snider were united in marriage, August 21, 1943 in Idabel, OK. Ruby was a member of the First Assembly of God in Broken Bow, and a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, camping and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glennon, her parents; two brothers, J.W. and Hartford Compton; two sisters, Lillian Shoults, and Opal Jennings; one grandson, Shelby Snider. Ruby is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Glen Snider and Lahoma Whitehead of Haworth, OK, Rick and Patti Snider, of Edmond, OK, Jerry and Cheryl Snider of Eagletown, OK; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Shantel Snider, Stephanie Snider and fianc, Brady Sorrell, Nikki Soul, Mark and Marla Snider, Carrie and Mark Duren, Shawna and Lee Evans, Travis Snider; great-grandchildren, Caleb Brooks, Crandel Talley (TAnna and Michael Strawn) Ashley Soul, Kalie Soul, Brook Soul, Randon Duren, Koty Evans, Kelby Evans, Adam Snider, Ava Snider; great-great-grandchild, Raylyn Strawn; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
