Roy Autrey, 89, of Broken Bow passed away April 15, 2014 at Broken Bow Health and Rehab in Broken Bow, OK. He was born November 14, 1924 in Rufe, OK the son of Louis and Willie (Donaldson) Autrey. Roy married the love of his life, Laura and they shared many years together. Roy was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Broken Bow, OK. He enjoyed genealogy, camping and helping people. He was an avid gardener and furnished fresh vegetables for the senior citizen centers, he was a volunteer for numerous projects in the county. Roy served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired after twenty one years of service. He was a life time member of V.F.W. post #4880, a 32nd degree Mason with Broken Bow Lodge # 441, a member of Eastern Star chapter #299, he was also a member of the Scottish Rites in McAlester, OK and a Bedouin Shirner in Muskogge, OK. Roy leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Roy Autrey Jr. and wife, Diane of Shady Point, OK, Bill Autrey of Broken Bow, OK; brothers, Ronald Baker and Charlie Autrey; sisters, Bernice Haley, Patricia Huntley, Jean Morris, Kathy Harkins and Jessie Flores; grandchildren, Cody Autrey, Roy Autrey III (Trey), Perry Autrey, Jaclyn Autrey, Johnna Smith, Amber Brock and Amanda Penney; five great-grandchildren; very special friend, Ruby Pigg; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members; special friends and neighbors, Carol and Bill McCaa.
