Ronnie Burke, 60, of Broken Bow, passed away November 30, 2014 in Broken Bow. The son of Leon and Thelma (Johnson) Burke, Ronnie was born March 4, 1954 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Broken Bow High School and established Burke?s Convenience Store in 1976. On August 10, 1995, Ronnie and Sue McGowen were united in marriage in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. and had started the first N.R.A. banquet held in McCurtain County. Ronnie was an avid Ruger Firearms collector and worked on his ranch when he wasn?t attending his store. Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sue, of the home; one son, Keith Shearer and Betty Westbrook of Hochatown, OK; special grandson, Keifer Shearer of Broken Bow, OK; three brothers, Larry Burke and wife, Cathy, of Broken Bow, Billy Burke and wife, Sherry, of Antlers, OK, Kenneth Burke of DeQueen, AR; one sister, Peggy Tipton and husband, J.C., of Broken Bow; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Sanders and husband, Rick, of Howe, OK; one brother-in-law, Herman McGowen and wife, Linda, of Summerfield, OK and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
