Roger Clark Ward Sr., 69, of Broken Bow, entered his heavenly home on December 22, 2011. The son of William C. and Lillie Mae (Stone) Ward, Roger was born June 23, 1942, in Hope, Arkansas. On March 21, 1968, he and Linda Louise Wright were united in marriage in Texarkana, Texas. Roger was of the Baptist faith and had called Broken Bow his home for the past forty years. He adored his family and treasured the memories he made with them. Roger enjoyed listening to country music, playing games, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many hours driving his Rhino and tractor. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Mary Francis Elledge, Minnie Jean Toms, Laura Mae Kindrick, Ruby Annie Warren, Nellie Faye Stringfellow, Viola Beatrice White; three brothers, William (Buddy) Wallace Ward, Kenton Elijah Ward and Hershel Wayne Ward. Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, of the home; one son, Roger Ward Jr. and his wife, Glena of Broken Bow; one daughter, Teresa Lindsay and her husband, Mike, of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Grover Ward and his wife, Trini, of Clarkesville, TN, Bobby Ward of Hope, AR.; four grandchildren, Coty, Justin and Christopher Cathey and Kruse Ward; one great-grandson, Nathan Cathey; other relatives and many friends.Cemetery:Interment will follow in Sweethome Cemetery in Broken Bow. \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Roger Clark Ward Sr., please visit our floral store.
