Rickey was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Broken Bow, OK., and affiliated with First Baptist Church in Durant, OK. He liked to fish but his passion was in sports, his favorite being basketball. He loved and respected all of his coaches that he had throughout his Little League, High School and College Careers, especially Gary Bob Wilson. He enjoyed both watching and playing. Most important of all, he loved spending time with his son Kieler and other family and friends.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Sam C. Young Sr.; paternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Young; maternal grandmother, Marcelene Lowery; uncle, Anthony Young Sr.; cousins, William Mack Jr., Jerrell Westbrook.Rickey leaves to cherish his memory his son, Kieler Young, Durant, OK.; mother, Darla Young, Broken Bow, OK.; father, Rickey Young Sr., Broken Bow, OK., maternal grandfather, Ivan 'Big John' Lowery, HollyCreek Community; six brothers and two sisters-in-law, Erik John and Cyndi Young, Havelock, N.C., Michael and Erin Boyles, Bluffton, S.C., Christopher Konrad, Germany, Zachary Young, Broken Bow, OK., Samuel Young, Broken Bow, OK., Jai Cupit, Seattle, WA.; three sisters, Erica Young, Washington, D.C., Olivia Young, Broken Bow, OK., Kayla Young, Cleveland, OH., and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2007 at McCurtain County Sports Complex, Broken Bow, OK. Rev. Cletus Hawkins, Pastor Andre Burton and Rev. James Washington will officiate. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery.
