Pearl Angelene Slabaugh, 87, of the Herndon Community passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at her home. She was born November 28, 1925 in Cerro Gordo, OK , the daughter of Elijah (Tom) and Girtha Moses McGough. Pearl and Tom were married December 1, 1945 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Wright City American Legion Women?s Auxiliary, current president of the Wright City Senior Citizens, and a member of the American Diabetes Association. Pearl was a faithful member of the Green Chapel Assembly of God Church where she had attended her entire life and where she served as a Sunday School teacher until her disability. Pearl enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, quilting, attending family get- togethers and showing her family how much she loved them. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley and Clifford Gantt, Sandra Lantroop, of the home; sons, Joe Slabaugh and wife, Vickie, Calvin Slabaugh and wife, Mary and Terry Slabaugh; daughter-in-law, Linda Slabaugh, all of Wright City, OK; sisters, Carolyn Thomas and Arvilla Bissell; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband, H.C.
