Paula Kay Atkin, 61 of Eagletown, passed away July 20, 2017. She was born August 12, 1955 at Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Dovie Dickerson Painter. Paula loved her kids, grandkids and her family. Her heart was especially full when she was able to spend time with them. She was gifted with the ability of making beautiful quilts and crocheted blankets. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deanne Powers and husband, Brock of Eagletown, and Christina Whetsel and significant other, Romeo Lopez of Broken Bow; son, Tommy Schoettmer of Anderson, Indiana; brothers, Larry Painter and significant other, Laura-Ann Stanley, and Keith Painter all of Anderson, Indiana; sister, Rhonda Grice and husband, Richard "Buggy" of Eagletown; father of her children, Thomas Schoettmer of Ada, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Joshua Powers, Kaytlynn Powers, Emily Powers, Taylor Schoettmer, Austin Whetsel, Mason Whetsel, Alan Kindlesparker, Jackie Claborn, Christian "Bubba" Schoettmer and Lillie "Lil Bug" Schoettmer, Samantha Lopez and Christopher Lopez; special friend, Julie Jackson, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Paula was preceded in death by her father, Paul W. Painter, Jr. and mother, Dovie Painter. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.
