Patricia "Patty" Lou Abbott, age 89, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on Tuesday, July 17, 1934 to Harold and Avis Carney Shaver in Kackley, Kansas. Patty, a beloved and cherished member of the Cleburne, Texas community, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion. Known for her incredibly friendly nature and sweet disposition, she never had an unkind word for anyone. Patty ran a successful craft mall in Cleburne for over a decade, showcasing her remarkable talent in needlework, embroidery, sewing, and crochet. A devout Baptist, she was a dedicated member of her local church. Her true gift was caring for others, and her compassionate and generous heart touched many lives. Patty's deep love for her family and her unwavering support will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Eldon Harold Shaver, and the father of her children, James Marvin Abbott. She is survived by three sons and daughter in law, David Lawrence and Carol Abbott of Mena, Paul Alexander Abbott of Cleburne, Texas and Jamie Mark Abbott of Grandview, Texas; four grandchildren, Shaun Abbott, Gunner Abbott, Daniel Abbott, and Easton Abbott; and a host of others.
