She attended school in Kansas City, MO and worked at Weyerhaeuser for thirteen years. She also worked in Home Health Care. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and united with St. Matthews Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her illness.She married the late Rev. Clay Burris on December 27, 1968. To this union she leaves to cherish her memory her beloved and devoted children; David Reggie Burris, Tresa Annette Burris, Clifton Eugene and Faye Lynn Burris, Patrick Dewayne and Charlotte Burris. She is also survived by her step-children, Claybert Sams, Sidney 'Duke' Sams, Lemuel 'Buster' Sams; devoted sisters, Goldie 'Molly' and Lester Brown, Francis and Cornell Nicholson; twelve grandchildren, Alexis Brittany, TerVonte', Alexis, Brittany, Darius, Carissa, Marquette, Precious, Nautika, Patrick, Jr., Ashley, Quinton and Sharlesia. She truly loved her children, nieces, nephews, cousins as well as a host of other relatives and friends.Memorial Services will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the St. Matthew Baptist Church, Eagletown, OK.
