Pansy Mae (Barrick) Baker of the Mt. Herman community passed from this life, October 10, 2011, at the age of 97. She was born May 23, 1914, at Goodwater, OK.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. (Buddy) Baker; one granddaughter, Marie Norman; three sisters and five brothers. She was a member of the Hochatown First Assembly of God Church, of which she helped to pioneer beginning July 13, 1997. She became a permanent resident of the Broken Bow Nursing Home in May 2005.Pansy and Buddy were the first Forestry Tower operators at carter mountain, where Buddy served as the Construction manager over building the first tower, they built the resident house where they lived and was over the forestry operations of that area for approximately thirteen years, then moving to Mt. Herman where they owned farm and timber land. Pansy was a distinguished seamstress, helped manage the farm, loved to garden, mowed her lawn until ninety years of age, she loved to take pictures, brag on her grand-children and kept an accurate daily journal for over fifty years. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in law, Cynthia and Robert Norman of Fresno, CA, Vesta and Jerry Largin of Stockton, CA, and Wilma and Gary Davidson, Missionaries to Ireland; three sons and daughters-in-law, Farris & Jewell Baker of Stockton, CA,, Milford and Beverly Baker of Valliant, OK and Melvin and Marilyn Baker of Hochatown, OK; two sisters, two brothers, sixteen grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.Cemetery:Interment will follow in Hochatown Cemetery.Visitation:Family visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Hochatown First Assembly of God Church.Service:Funeral services will be Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Hochatown First Assembly of God Church. \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Pansy Mae (Barrick) Baker, please visit our floral store.
