Nora Jeannette Austin, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, 69, of Broken Bow, went to be with her Lord, September 30, 2010, at her home in Broken Bow. She was born February 18, 1941, in Broken Bow, the daughter of P.A. and Pearl (Pratt) Potts. She graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1959. Nora was a poultry farmer, insurance agent, laborer, quilt maker and caregiver to the elderly during her lifetime. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, traveling, spending time with family and friends, but most of all she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Nora worked hard to provide for her family and was a kind and generous lady. She loved to help others and strived to make life easier for those around her, even when she was in need herself. Nora truly left this world a better place than when she found it. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Melvin (Dude) Austin and her mother, Pearl (Pratt) Potts. Nora leaves to cherish her memory her father, P.A.
