Neil Thomas Wood, age 74, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was born on Friday, February 23, 1951, to Royce and Lelia Wiser Wood in Hochatown, Oklahoma.

Neil was a strong, hardworking, and honest man who lived life with integrity and purpose. He treasured time spent with family and especially loved big family gatherings filled with laughter and stories. Among his greatest joys was spending time with his grandson, Kort, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Neil and Sharyl helped raise a very special granddaughter from the time she was born, Alliyah, who was the light of his life and the sparkle in his eye.

For more than 30 years, Neil and his wife, Sharyl owned and operated W&W Trading Post and Canoe, a business that reflected his dedication, work ethic, and love for the community he served. He valued friendship and tradition, never missing his Saturday night card games with his buddies, and he also enjoyed playing pool, gardening, and the simple pleasures of life.

Neil was a proud member of both the NRA and the NAGR, and he had a true craftsman’s heart. He loved woodworking and took great pride in building his and Sharyl's log house from the ground up, a lasting symbol of his skill, perseverance, and independence.

Neil will be remembered for his strong character, his love of family and friends, and the steady, honest life he lived. His legacy lives on in the home he built, the business he ran, and the people who loved him.
