Nancy Louise Hughes, 75, of Idabel, OK, passed away August 9, 2016, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, in Idabel, OK. Nancy was born April 28, 1941, to Odis Daniel and Villa Marie (Draper) Hughes, in Boswell, OK. Nancy was affiliated with the Springs of Light Church. Nancy was a loving mother. She was a truck driver, a welder, and a shrimper on a shrimp boat. Nancy was also a home health provider. She also wrote the book "From Poke Salad and T-Bone Steak" about her own life. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sherry Lynn Hughes; brother, Mack Owen Hughes; son, Bill Aaron Beggs; daughter, Donna Denice Christy; and grandson, Clint Williams, from Oklahoma City, OK. Nancy leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Melinda, and husband, Joe, White of Holly Creek, OK; two sons, Richard Dale Cathey, of Idabel, OK, and Otis Earl Beggs, of Glover, OK; two brothers, Leon Huges and wife, Glenda of Broken Bow, OK, and Charles Hughes, of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Joseph White, Cody Cathey, Justin Cathey, Christopher Cathey, Gina Jo Cathey, Michelle Williams, Ben Beggs, Nicole Beggs, and William Beggs: a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and friends.
