Myrtle Opal 'Myrt' Neal of Wright City, OK passed away on November 26, 2014 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, AR. She was born February 5, 1923 in Spiro, OK. Myrt is the daughter of Charlie R. & Elfreda 'Hunter' Rowan. She married Clarence Willard Neal on May 25, 1943 in Okemah, OK. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church and has lived in this area most of her life. Myrt loved her family and looked forward to spending time with them during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Myrt loved quilting and sharing what she made with her children and grandchildren, every quilt she made was stitched with love. Myrt and Willard made beautiful flowerbeds around their home and enjoyed camping and fishing with their family and friends at Wister Lake. After Willard passed, Myrt enjoyed spending time on the phone talking to her sisters and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory one son Ebin Neal &wife Brinda of Wright City, OK; one daughter Pam Bess & husband Ron of Leflore, OK; two sisters Margie Cline and Vera Strayhorn of Wright City, OK; seven grandchildren: Barth Bain & wife Coylenna, Lee Ann Todd, Kurt Neal & wife Janet, Bryan Bess & wife Renee, Kevin Bess & wife Tanya, Traci Karr & husband Danny, Susan Standridge & husband Jerry; twenty-one great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Myrt was preceded in death by her parents; husband Willard Neal, son Charlie Lee Neal, daughter Glenda 'Sandy' Rogers, and two great grandchildren Chase Neal Bess and Madelene Kay Bess. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Barth Bain, Kurt Neal, Bryan Bess, Kevin Bess, Jerry Standridge and Danny Karr. Myrt will be laid to rest beside to her husband in the Joe Slater Cemetery in Wright City, OK.
