Mildred Ashalintubbi, 84, of Panki Bok, OK passed away in Idabel, OK on August 15, 2016. She was born March 9, 1932 in Eagletown, OK the daughter of Mose and Minni (Dyer) Ashalintubbi. Mildred was an enlisted Elder Commissioner of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church to the General Assembly from 1996-2007. She served as Moderator of the Choctaw Presbyterian C.P.C., served as President for the C.P. Womens Ministry and in 2004 she went on a mission work trip to the Oglata Sioux Indian Reservation in Pine Ridge South Dakota. In 2007 she was nominated outstanding Choctaw Elder of Dist. 2 Choctaw Nation. She enjoyed her cats, flowers, gardening, traveling, picking wild onions, going out to eat, watching and listening to Gospel music and visiting with her friends. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Mildred leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Winona Berry of McAlester and her children, Raymond Berry and Lance Berry; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by mother and father; son, Alan Jason Jones; daughter, Linda; sister, Marie McKinney; four brothers, Marland, Moses Jr., Melvin and Melton Ashalintubbi; granddaughter Melinda Kay Berry; nephews, David Wayne Ashalintubbi and Verolyn Ashalintubbi; niece, Trish Seyler. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Panki Bok Church, Panki Bok, OK with Dr. Virginia Espinoza and Rev. Randy Jacob officiating. Interment will follow in Panki Bok Cemetery. A Wake service will be held from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
