Melba Jean Pulte passed away November 6th 2013, at the age of 78. She was the daughter of Jim Bo Jones and Lillie Dossey Jones of the Shults Community. She married Donald Pulte, at the age of 16 and enjoyed 62 years of Marriage. She and Don started their marriage traveling in the oil fields, then soon bought the family farm in the Shultz community when her father became sick and passed away at a young age. Along with their cow/calf operation, she spent most of her working career at Sears Roebuck and Co. and Montgomery Ward and a short time at Piggly Wiggly before retiring after twenty years ago to care for her grandchildren. Her family was her main Priority in life and she was blessed with having them living nearby and by her side as she made her journey to her eternal home. She was a loving mother & grandmother; she loved her vegetable garden, flowers, and was a wonderful cook and avid canner. She was preceded in death by her father; son Jimmy Don; her stepfather: Lester Haltom; mother: Lillie Haltom and a special aunt: Katie Stanford. She is survived by her husband: Don; two daughters: Kathy Gray and husband Donnie of the Shultz Community, Diane Pulte of the Denison Community; son- in- law: Rusty Armstrong of Holly Creek; grandchildren: Dwayne Cobb, Patrick Cobb and wife Liz, Kyle Gray, and Kortney Gray; great grandsons: Patrick Wade Jr. and Tate Layne; her brother: Willard Paul Jones of Idabel; numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held Saturday November 9th, with a Family/Friend lunch and visitation at 12 pm in the Redland Community, at the Redland Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and graveside services and live music to follow at 2 pm at the Redland Cemetery. Pastor Archie Phillips will be officiating and his wife BJ assisting, who are dear friends to the family. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Cobb, Patrick Cobb, Kyle Gray, Donnie Gray, Rusty Armstrong, Kelly Wilson.
