Mary Lynn Reed, age 71, of Smithville, Oklahoma, passed away, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Mena Regional Medical Center in Mena, Arkansas. She was born Tuesday, February 15, 1955, to Orville O'Dale Hill and Glenda Faye Flemons Young in De Queen, Arkansas.
Mary was a faithful wife, loving mother, and dear friend whose life was defined by her devotion to God and others. For over 45 years, she faithfully stood by her husband, Glenn, serving alongside him as a pastor’s wife. With a servant’s heart, she lived her life putting God first, her family second, and others always close behind, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion.
Mary was a wonderful homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. Her home was always warm and welcoming, often filled with the comforting aroma of her cooking, especially her famous fried chicken and Sunday pot roasts, which she lovingly prepared before church so her family could gather and enjoy a meal together afterward.
She deeply loved her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and happiness. In her quiet moments, Mary enjoyed southern gospel music, tending to her plants and flowers, and creating a home that reflected her love and care. She also treasured the time spent with her close friend, Wanda Tunnell, sharing laughter and friendship over the recent years.
Mary will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant’s heart, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the home she so beautifully made.
