Marilyn Kay Moore, 61 of Bethel, passed away March 4, 2015 at her home. She was born October 20, 1953 at Lakeview, Oregon. She was the daughter of Edna and W.M. Cogburn. She married Larry Moore on December 17, 1971 at Broken Bow. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Marilyn spent the majority of her life in the county. She received her Bachelor?s degree and taught elementary education at Battiest School. She cared deeply for her students. The outdoors was a great hobby of hers and she spent some time working at the Beaver?s Bend Nature Center as a Naturalist. She cared for birds and other animals and would release them back into the wild at her home. She loved birds, especially hummingbirds and blue birds. She enjoyed camping, fishing, wildlife and cooking. Most of all, she loved her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her father, William "W.M." Cogburn. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Larry Moore of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Felicia Moore of Broken Bow; daughters and son-in-law, Michelle and Keith Chandler of Bokoshe, Oklahoma and Angela Johnson of Bethel; mother, Edna Cogburn of Bethel; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Cogburn of Bethel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and David Marable and Donna and Todd Belk all of Bethel; grandchildren, Allison, Hannah and Nickolas Chandler, Jonathan, Mason and Ella Moore and Chad and Josie Johnson; special friends, Jerry and BeaJay Leforce and Geovonna Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Bethel Missionary Baptist with Bro. David Hardin officiating.
