Lion Brewer, a.k.a. Colby Kincaid passed away quietly at her home in Key West, FL., approximately Wednesday, March 21st at the age of 43. Her cause of death is unknown at this time but most importantly, she will remain forever beautiful to all who loved her. Colby made her home in Key West in 1999 when she went for a temporary job offer at "DIVAS." They loved her so much they kept her. Colby competed in, and won, many of the Florida local and statewide beauty pageants. She performed and hosted many fundraisers for local residents in need. She loved the Florida climate and the people of Key West, and became very much the local celebrity; always kind and gracious. Prior to moving to Key West, Colby lived and worked in OKC for several years. In the early 90?s, she ?wowed? them at Tramps, Angels, the Copa, the HiLo, and other clubs in Tulsa and surrounding states. She worked with almost every performer in the area. Early in her career in OKC, Colby competed in, and often won, many of the local pageants. She held many titles, including the Tony Sinclair Beauty Award, while living in Oklahoma. "Colby was incredibly beautiful and talented and worked hard at her craft as anyone who ever saw her amazing illusion of Judy Garland can attest to," said Karla Ferguson, OKC resident and close personal friend to Ms. Kincaid. "Whether it be an emotional and soulful ballad looking breathtaking in an evening gown, or a high energy dance number with a sexy barely there costume, Colby was amazing to watch. She was an amazing person to know and an amazing friend to have." Colby was trained as a hair stylist and worked in the profession for many years in Texas and Oklahoma. Colby also volunteered at Testing the Limits and worked at the Open Your Heart Foundation, both HIV/AIDS care organizations. She cared about her community and was always willing to do whatever she could to help anyone in need. Colby is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her father, her brother, cousin, aunts, uncles and many dear friends. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving partner, Gary; her beloved and only child, Tanner; her devoted and loving mother Kathy; her much loved sister Tami; two beautiful nieces Shayla and Briana and host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
