Linda Louise (Wright) Ward passed away on Sunday, March 4th at Celebration Health in Orlando, Florida. She was born in Amarillo, TX to L.G. and Dorothy Wright. She lived in Amarillo and Harrison, AR before marrying Roger Ward, Sr. and moving their family to Oklahoma, where Roger had accepted a life long career with Weyerhaeuser. She married the love of her life in Texarkana, TX on March 21, 1968, from this union two children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grand child were born. Linda's family meant everything to her. She was a homemaker and had many hobbies. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, scrapbooking, tracing and documenting family history and organizing family reunions. She loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She would do everything in her power to have family together for any and every occasion and to ensure that every member had their one spoon of black-eyed peas on New Year's Day. She was exemplorary at enforcing family values and selflessness. Throughout the years she enjoyed her Boston Terriers, camping, cruising, trips to Hawaii and taking pictures of EVERYTHING. Linda was a shining example of a mother and granny. She poured her heart into loving, nurturing and guiding her children and grandchildren. She was a picture perfect Granny, in that the spoiling was never done!! From unlimited candy, soda and toys, to grandchild oriented mini vacations, to birthday shopping sprees. She lived to make her family happy by unselfishly giving of her time, money and lots of LOVE!!! She was of the Baptist faith and encouraged her family to live a life based on good morals, ethics, and Godly values. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brother Jerry Wright and numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Mike Lindsay of Oklahoma City; her son and daughter-in-law Roger, Jr and Glena of Broken Bow; Four Grandchildren; Coty, Justin, and Christopher Cathey and Kruse Ward; One great grandchild, Nathan Cathey; several brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.Cemetery:Interment will follow at Sweethome Cemetery, Sweethome Community, Broken Bow, OK. \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Linda Ward, please visit our floral store.
