Lily Alta Bradley blessed this earth with her presence for 91 years, and peacefully left to join Our Father on April 6th, 2015. She passed as she wanted, in her home with family and friends by her side. She was born Lily Alta Giem on January 19th, 1924, to Water August & Lola Anna Giem. She was born in Guthrie Oklahoma, where the Giem's started the chicken hatchery, which later became a feed & hardware store. She attended Wesely School of Nursing in Oklahoma City, where she received her RN degree in 1944. She was recruited directly from nursing school to the US Navy Cadet Corps, and began her Navy career in San Diego. After WWII, she continued as a Lieutenant in the Navy Nurse Corps, and was stationed on the USS Haven Hospital Ship in Pusan & Inchon Korea during the Korean Conflict. She served taking care of soldiers wounded in the war, and saw them through to transport to Yokoduka & Yokohoma Japan then to Honolulu Hawaii. After the Korean War, she returned to Oklahoma where she served in the US Naval Reserve until 1954. She was untied in marriage on December 19th, 1953 in Guthrie to the dear love of her life, Alfred Martin Bradley II. She helped him for many years in his veterinary practices in small towns in South Dakota & Iowa, then to his service in as a Federal Veterinarian in Wyoming. Together they raised their 4 children with small town values and in the service of the Lord. She was a stay at home mom and took care of every need of the family until the kids left for college and her dear Al passed away in 2001. In 2002, she came to live in our community and has blessed her daughter Mary & son-in-law Bob with her sweet company since then. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al Bradley, her parents, Walter & Lola Giem, and her brother Lloyd Giem. She leaves to cherish her lovely memory her daughter & son-in-law Mary & Bob LeBoeuf of the home. Her her daughter & son-in-law Elizabeth & Jerry Thomas of Chugiak Alaska, Her son & daughter-in-law Martin & Patricia Bradley of Minneapolis Minnesota, and daughter Susan Bradley of San Angelo Texas. She is also survived by granddaughter & husband Alanna & Ian Axberg, granddaughters, Megan Bradley of Minneapolis & Samantha Thomas of Chugiak, and sister, Ruth Cotner of Grove Oklahoma.
