Leonard W. Pappy Eeds, 78 of Lukfata passed away, Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris, Texas. He was born September 1, 1931 in Pickens, Okla., to parents, Bill and Elsie (Gammon) Eeds. Leonard was a board member of the Green Chapel Assembly of God, and felt that it was his ministry to put a smile on the face of everyone he met. He retired in 1994 from Weyerhaeuser after 44 years as a bulldozer operator, which he loved to do, and later working at the plywood mill. He loved to drive on the roads that he had built during those years. Leonard never met a stranger and could find friends or relatives almost anywhere he went. He was considered to be his familys counselor and they would often go to him for advice. He enjoyed and was known for putting up his Christmas lights for everyone in the community to enjoy. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; his four brothers, Leeford, Jimmy, Clifford, and Eugene; an infant sister; and his first wife, Dorothy Mae (Scarberry) Eeds. Leonard is survived by his wife, Nedra (Callaway) Eeds of the home; six sons and their spouses, Donnie and Rosie Eeds of Broken Bow; Bobby Eeds of Pickens, James and Marie Callaway of Oak Hill, Morris and Sheila Callaway of Pickens, Bobby Gene Callaway of Oak Hill, Billy and Cheryl Callaway of Oak Hill; a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Lonnie James of Broken Bow; a daughter-in-law, Robbie Callaway of Glover; grandchildren and their spouses, Melanie and Jesse Callaway, Donnie Eugene and Becky Eeds, Jason Eeds, Courtesy Johnson, Odell and Elizabeth James, Ladonna Bess and Von Batchelor, Danell and Timothy Johnson, Misty and Cody Sprinkle, Jarred Eeds, Jimmy Dale and Pam Callaway, Marvin and Deborah Kay Gardner, Rene-e and Timothy Wright, Denise, Mandy and Nick Nunn, Krystal Ruiz, Jason and Susan Callaway, Mary Matney and husband, Brandi and Shawn Lane, Cassie and Jeff Wallace, and Beth Callaway; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; a church family; and a host of friends and relatives.Cemetery:Watson Memorial Cemetery, Oak HillVisitation:6-8 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2010, Green Chapel Assembly of God Church, Wright CityService:2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2010, Green Chapel Assembly of God, Wright City \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Leonard W.
