Lee Earl Volker Obituary (1927 - 2006)

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Betty Volker; son Johnny Volker and wife Evelyne; three daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Randy Beaver, Janet and Rich Oliver, and Penny and Rex Hawver; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one step-great-grandchild; sister Nancy Roberts and husband Gary; sister-in-law, Virginia Gilley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Alberta Brown and special friends Libby and Jon Stucky.In September 1948, Lee married the love of his life Betty Volker. He celebrated life and cared for all living creatures. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. Lee was a devoted husband, father and a doting grandfather. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Idabel and Grace Community Church in Plano, TX. Lee had many friends in many places. He was known to all for being a gracious and hardworking man with a lively sense of humor. Lee will be deeply missed by the many who loved him.Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Brumley Funeral Home, Idabel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. Pastor Bud Wilburn and Pastor Steve Lucas will officiate.The family will receive friends from 6:30 ' 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at Brumley Funeral Home, Idabel.
