Edgar Kenneth McAnally was born November 27, 1928, in DeQueen, Arkansas, to Everett Winston and Annie Laura (Yeck) McAnally. He passed from this life April 30, 2014, in Idabel, OK, at the age of 85. After graduating from Broken Bow High School, Kenneth enlisted in the US Navy. He is a veteran of the Korean war where he served on the USS Benham. Upon returning from the war, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Francis 'Janie' Wood on June 26, 1955. He graduated from Eastern State Univ. with a degree in auto paint and body repair. He operated his own business appropriately name McAnally Body shop. Kenneth ran a successful business for thirty years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Broken Bow. In recent years Ken developed dementia. It claimed his short term memory but it couldn't steal memories that were ingrained in his heart. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Annie McAnally. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Janie McAnally; sister, Lousie McAnally of Roseburg, CA; three children,Lorenzo and Sherlyn Estrada of Mansfield, TX, Steve and Charlotte McAnally of Rattan, OK and Cindy McAnally of Ft. Worth, TX; two grandsons, Scott and Alecia Batson of Broken Bow, OK, Craig McAnally of Greenbrier, AK; granddaughter, Stephanie McAnally of Broken Bow, OK; four great granddaughters, Victoria, Lee Lee, Lexie and Nykayla.; as well as many other relatives and friends.Cemetery:Crown Hill Cemetery, Broken Bow \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Kenneth McAnally, please visit our floral store.
