Kathy Marie Morris, 50, of Rufe, passed away at her home on September 18, 2011. The daughter of Melvin and Barbara (Wick) Cantrell, Kathy was born on December 13, 1960 in Omak, Washington. Kathy and Donnie Morris were united in marriage on July 23, 1979 in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Rufe Baptist Church. Kathy was a very talented pastry chef specializing in wedding and birthday cakes and enjoyed helping others by baking for different benefits. When not baking, Kathy made quilts and had won several awards for her work. She also enjoyed fishing, leather work and swimming with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Cantrell; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Jean Wick; paternal grandparents, Plezant PB and Kathy Cantrell and Georgie Cantrell; nephew, Trae Starr; several aunts and uncles. Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 32 years, Donnie Gene Morris, of the home; mother, Barbara Cantrell of Ft. Towson, OK; two sons, Barry Don Bear Morris of Sobel, OK, Frankie Doyle Morris of the home; four siblings, Ray Cantrell of Tempe, AZ, Linda Vaughn and her husband, Randy, of Valliant, OK, Dave Cantrell and his wife, DeAnna, of Broken Bow, Anna Nicholas and her husband, Joseph, of Hugo, OK; four grandchildren, Lane Wesley Morris, Chahta Wesley Morris, Honesty Mariah Morris and Dawson Westbrook; several other family members, special friends, Ricky and Carol Mussett, Anita Franklin and many other friends.Cemetery:Interment will follow in Rufe Cemetery.Visitation:Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brumley Funeral Home.Service:Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Rufe Baptist Church with Bro.
