Joe F. Davis, 75, of Broken Bow, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Christus St. Michael Health Care System in Texarkana, Texas. The son of Roy H. and Ethel (Henson) Davis, Joe was born May 15, 1935 in Bethel, Oklahoma. He lived in this area most of his life and was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Joe and Norma M. Story were united in marriage on September 4, 1956 in Aztec, New Mexico. Hard working and multi-talented, Joe had a tremendous work ethic which showed in his jobs in sawmills, drilling and welding. Excellence was of high priority and that valuable lesson he passed on to his family. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed things such as family gatherings, visiting with people, fishing, hunting, his dogs Girl Puppy and Benji and O.U. Sooner football. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joe F. Davis, Jr.; one brother, Harold Davis; three sisters, Helen Clark, Lucille Davis and an infant sister; two nephews, Richard Davis and Eddie Davis. He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Davis of the home; his children, Ladonna Little and her husband, Carl of Broken Bow, OK, Rita Harris and her husband, David of Hodgen, OK, Danny Davis and his wife, Rhonda of Broken Bow, OK, Casey Joe McKee Davis of Lawton, OK; one brother, James Davis and his wife, Tilda of Bethel, OK; three grandchildren, Memory John and her husband, Robin, Amanda Lowry and her husband, Anthony, Colby Davis; three great-grandchildren, Shayli Davis, Kaden Lowry, Blaine Gummy Bear John; several nieces, nephews and other family members.Cemetery:Bethel CemeteryService:2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Joe F.
