Jim McGough a resident of Broken Bow, OK passed from this life August 13, 2013 at the age of 90. He was born in Jadie, OK to Homer and Birdie (Prater) McGough. He served his country in the US Navy in the Philippines as a P.B.Y. Aircraft Mechanic and was a Veteran of WWII. Jim worked in Mesa Verde, CO at the C.C.C. when he was only seventeen years old. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his rock shop, making jewelry and gardening. He loved animals. His favorite times were spent with family and he loved his family reunions. Jim is survived by his children; Tim McGough and wife Alice of Granite, OK, Melba Freeman, Kim McGough and wife Karren all of Broken Bow, OK, Margaret Ellen McCain and husband Gary of Blossom, TX; one sister, Sue Sorrell of Broken Bow, OK; twelve grandchildren, Clarence Freeman Jr., Rodney Freeman, Bill Freeman, Gary McCain Jr., Heath McGough, Kenny McGough, Timberly Grant, Regina Banta, Angela Carr, Rebecca Sanders, Kimberly Smith and Jill Osterbuhr; forty three great-grandchildren and twenty four great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; daughter, Patricia Ann; sister, Marie Kemp; brother, Marshall McGough; great-great grandson, Hunter Freeman; son-in-law, Clarence Freeman, Sr.; his companion "Snowball".Cemetery:Interment will follow at Pine Top Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK. \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Jim McGough, please visit our floral store.
