Geoffrey Dawson Holladay, 72 a former McCurtain County Newspaper Journalist and Army Veteran died August 21, 2012 in his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Holladay of Uco, TX; a sister, Georgia Gonzalez of Houston, TX, and his beloved wife, Letitia Holladay of Broken Bow, OK. He is survived by his son, Joseph and daughter-in-law Angela and two grandchildren, Ethan and Jodi Holladay of Conway, AR; a sister, Judy Taylor of Mena, AR as well as six nieces and nephews. A graduate of the University of Texas with a BA Degree in Journalism and a Masters Degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in the early 70?s. He was a recipient of awards too numerous to mention. He was most proud of his investigative pieces on the Oklahoma City Bombing as well as a passion for farm and forestry. Holladay was a loving and generous husband and father who believed whole heartedly that everyone should be treated equally and just.
