James C. McKendrick, 79, of Eagletown, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris, TX. He was born July 17, 1928, in Henryetta, OK, the son of James and Viola (Reese) McKendrick.James married Linda (Scaggs) on July 27, 1973 in Durant.He was a member and past Branch President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. James retired from Brown and Root as a carpenter and enjoyed squirrel hunting, fishing, gardening, flowers and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Deborah Davenport and sister, Nelda Mozell Cox.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Linda, of the home; four sons, Charles Wilkinson, Idabel, James Jr. and wife Dawn McKendrick, Alaska, James Paul McKendrick and Michael McKendrick, both of CA; seven daughters, Tina and husband Brian Mooney, Holly Creek, Christy and husband Chris Bargas, Idabel, Misty and husband Cole Bryan, Garvin, Felicia and husband John Franks, Idabel, Leandra McKendrick, CA, Theresa McKendrick, San Antonio, TX and Donna McKendrick, Stigler; one brother, Dale McKendrick, Kelsey, TX; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of friends. His best buddy was his dog 'Patches' and his cat 'Mr. Kitty.'Services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow.
