Jack Kesterson, 83, of Broken Bow, OK passed away July 31, 2016 in Idabel, OK. He was born June 1, 1933 in Dierks, AR the son of William and Carrie (Counts) Kesterson. Jack and Christine Armstrong were united in marriage on March 8, 1975 in Dallas, TX and enjoyed forty one years of marriage. Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church in Broken Bow, OK and a member of the Southeast Wood Turners Association for the past two years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling. He worked for Dierks and Weyerhaeuser for twenty three years and ten years in Wyoming working at the Grand Teton and Yellow Stone National Parks. He loved his family and friends. Jack leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Chris Kesterson of the home; two sons, Eddie Kesterson and wife, Jo Ann of Hatfield, AR, Jimmy Carter and wife, Bobbi Carter of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Casey Long and husband, Andrew, Jessica Norvell and husband, Cody, Kellie Loyd an husband, Justin, Brandi Carter, Jeffrey Carter and Heather Carter; great-grandchildren, Ely Loyd, Ava Grace Long, Laykin Carter and Layne Carter; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Montie Steven Kesterson; siblings, Gladys Kirby, Woodrow Kesterson, Kelsie Kesterson, Jewell Kesterson, Carrol Kesterson, Doyle Kesterson ( he passed away in France during WWII), Carrie Kesterson. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, OK. The family will receive friends at their home throughout the week.
