Huston P. Jewell Sr. of Haworth, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Paris Regional Medical Center. He was born May 9, 1938 in Holly Creek to parents, Huston and Katy (Barnes) Jewell. Huston was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, watching westerns and rodeos. He was preceded in death by his parents, Huston and Katy Jewell; brothers, Jody, Wilburn, Henry, Ralph, and Jack Jewell; and one sister Gracie Beavers. He is survived by his two sons, Huston Pete Jewell of Haworth, OK; Calvin Franklin Jewell and his wife Sheryl of Atoka, OK; one daughter Glinnis Justine Jewell of Grandfield, OK; the mother of his children, Velma Sewell of Burkburnett, TX; a sister, Nina Treat of Broken Bow, OK; one brother, Truman Jewell of Golden, OK; eight grandchildren, Amanda, William, Perry, Paul, Jonathan, Micheal, Macy and Wyatt; five great-grandchildren, Matthew, David, Aubree, Luke and Krista; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow with Allen Fines officiating. Interment will follow in the Watson Cemetery, Oak Hill.
