Howard was a veteran and served his country in the US Army. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic. After retirement, Howard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theodora (Teddy) Lewis, on July 7, 2001; parents, Charley and Margeret Lewis brothers, Luther, John, Dane, and Lawrence Lewis; sisters, Sovera Swafford and Margeret Cook Harrold.He leaves to cherish his memory, one son and daughter-in-law, John and Laura Lewis, Cedar Park, TX; two grandchildren, Christopher John Lewis and his fianc' Jennifer Best, Mary Elizabeth Lewis, all of Austin, TX; several nieces , nephews, and friends. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Stuart officiating. Interment will follow at Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK.
