Herbert Eugene Wilburn, 87 of Broken Bow, passed away April 21, 2017 at Plano Medical Center in Plano, TX. He was born May 9, 1929 at Honey Island, Texas, the son of Herbert Spencer and Verna Ethel Alford Wilburn. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite interests. He loved people, but he loved his grandkids above all things and enjoyed being involved in their sports and activities. He especially loved to aggravate them. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and an avid Texas Rangers fan. He loved food and eating out. Herbert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Roger Batchelor of Glover; son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Sandra Wilburn of Oak Hill, sister, Wilma Ray Hooks of Silsby, Texas; grandchildren, Jaime Mills, Blake Batchelor, Rex Batchelor, Amanda Jeter, Charisse Berryhill, Caleb Wilburn; great-grandchildren, Kayla Courtney, Cameron Claborn, Baylie Gant, Hunter Batchelor, Ty Batchelor, Cheyenne Jeter, Colten Batchelor, Cami Batchelor, Clay Jeter, Bridger Berryhill, Breece Berryhill; great-great-grandchildren, Rigan Courtney, Drake Claborn, Gabriel Gant; special friend, Ricky Batchelor; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Verna Wilburn; spouse, Bernice Eudy Wilburn; and brother, Marvin Wilburn. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Don Batchelor officiating. Interment will follow in the Glover Cemetery.
