Haskell H. Johnson, 86, of Broken Bow, passed away Thursday evening, November 3, 2011 at his home in Broken Bow. The son of Wylie C. and Carrie L. (Jones) Johnson, Haskell was born August 11, 1925 in Smithville, OK. He had lived in the county all of his life and retired from the Oklahoma State Forestry Department. Haskell was a Jack of all trades and could repair just about anything. He was also very caring and would help anyone in need. Haskell enjoyed hunting for gold, studying psychology, reading educational books and studying about King Solomon in the Bible. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wylie C. and Carrie L. Johnson; one brother, James Buck Johnson; two sisters, Billy Tate and Evelyn Howard; two nephews, Jerry Howard and Jimmy Howard; one niece, Joy Sue Howard; beloved son, Dale; Haskell is survived by his four beloved children, Kevin, Jeffery, Melissa and Jake; five nephews, William Johnson and his wife, Jean, of Broken Bow, Edward Tate and his wife, Candice, of HollyCreek, Jewell Howard of HollyCreek, Sam Howard of HollyCreek, Sonny Johnson and his wife, Barbara, of Sherwood; six nieces, JoAnn Lewis and her husband, Mike, of HollyCreek, Jewelene Forrest of Broken Bow, Jeniva Davis of Lukfata, Jean Howard of HollyCreek, Judy Cox and her husband, Don, of Mt.
