Harvey "Papa" Aubrey Wylie, 95, passed from this life to be with his heavenly father on Monday, October 13, 2014. Born January 25, 1919, Harvey lived his entire life in Eagletown. Harvey was a decorated World War II veteran serving in the Phillipines, in the Pacific Theater, and earning a Bronz Star. Harvey worked in the log woods as a log cutter for many years in New Mexico and Oklahoma and, after retiring, he raised chickens for Lane. Papa loved to hunt, fish, gardening and spend time with his family and grandkids. He earned the nickname "Buckshot." Papa was preceded in death by his parents, Alisha (Packnet) and Ben Wylie; his wife, Christine (Thompson) Wylie; a son, Aubrey Eugene Wylie; a grandson, Donny Mack Litchford; his three sisters, Ruby Mombi, Avie Taylor, and Alice McCoy, and a son-in-law, Stephen Hadley. Papa leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Shirley Hadley and Harwanna Wylie; a son, Jimmy Dale Wylie, and wife, Tommie Fay, all of Eagletown. Eight grandchildren, Sherman and April Hadley, Sheldon and Tamara Hadley, James and Casey Litchford, Faith and Willie Bewley, Karey and Steven Asay, Sherry Rice, Charla and Scott Farmer, and JJ and Krista McGlasson and twenty-two great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren.Cemetery:Interment will be at Eagletown Cemetery, Eagletown, OK. \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Harvey Wylie, please visit our floral store.
