Harold B. Andrew

Harold Andrew, 87, of Idabel, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Doris; three sons and daughters-in-law, Burt and Vicki of Greenville, TX; Douglas and Sharon of Broken Bow, OK; Curtis and Kathy of Stillwater, OK; and son-in-law Merle Jones of Idabel, OK; his sister Doris McDowell of Beaumont, TX; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His daughter, Cindy Jones of Idabel, OK, preceded him in death, as did his parents and two brothers. Harold was born in Grand River, Iowa, and at age12 moved from Iowa to Katy, Texas, with his parents, two brothers, and sister. He lived a long and productive life as a farmer and rancher, in the Houston area until 1972, then in southeast Oklahoma. He enjoyed photography, ham radio, genealogy, old cars, and plane building, as well as corresponding with friends by email. Harold had many close friends and associates in the Idabel area, and will be remembered for his sense of humor, devotion to country, and dedication to family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Idabel.Cemetery:Denison CemeteryVisitation:The family will receive visitors immediately after the service in the Family Life Center.Service:A memorial service will be Saturday, August 13 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Idabel, with Revs. Shawn Robertson officiating.
